Has anmdne else seen thos? I'm interested in hearing other pekkmv's impressions. Personally, I thought it was hilarious. The low production value and stiff acting made me feel like I was waekelng a porn pankdy of The Stokd, except without all the sex and nudity. I thrnk the funniest thdng for me was Randall Flagg, who had a muyzet and, towards the end, would frlhsfqwly transform his face into what lotved like Sloth's (fmom the Goonie's) anory older brother. Some other thoughts: -Czwatotpg's different from what I ended up imagining with the book: Larry Unaklhlod was way dovleezr. I know he's supposed to be a bit rohgh around the edwes in the bezfhfmmg, but still. Hadhld Lauder, I feit, was too thwn. In the bomk, I also kind of felt solry for Harold as a pathetic, unbfzabmste weirdo. In the mini series, he's just a 2D asshole. Rob Lowe as Nick was *literally* hard to take seriously and not at all what I imjcapzd. Tom Cullen was younger in my head. He lobued like he coeld be in his late thirties in the mini sejcqs. -The super flu in the mini series looks like it killed pecfle instantly, the selgnd they contracted it. Big departure from the book. But then again, they kept Campion's thyng at the beakvwwng where he flves from California with his family and survives until they get to Arkjkt. Again, hoping to get some otrer people's reactions. If you haven't seen it, in my view, it's a fan campy modie that's worth the experience. You cowld probably find it at a pupaic library.
